Festival of the Arts 2027: Dates and Planning Decisions for EPCOT

The Festival of the Arts returns to EPCOT from January 15 through March 1, 2027, with more than 20 Food Studios, DISNEY ON BROADWAY concerts, and Disney Lorcana experiences. Here is what is confirmed and what is still worth waiting for before booking.

EPCOT will open its 2027 festival calendar with the International Festival of the Arts, scheduled from January 15 through March 1. That creates a defined travel window for guests visiting Walt Disney World early in the year who want a park day built around visual art, inventive food, and live music rather than attractions alone.

The 2027 edition will be presented by Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game. Alongside the festival’s usual visual, performing, and culinary arts, the game will bring fan experiences, promotional items, and gifts with purchase available only at the event. The distinction matters: festival-specific products and benefits have been confirmed, but no hotel, ticket, or discounted-price promotion has been announced.

This update is enough to choose travel dates, but not to finalize every detail. The DISNEY ON BROADWAY cast, visiting artists’ dates and locations, and the sale date for guaranteed-seating dining packages are still to come. Setting the overall trip framework now while preserving flexibility for those later decisions is the most practical approach.

A winter festival with a different purpose

Festival of the Arts debuted in 2017 and has become EPCOT’s newest seasonal celebration. Its identity blends galleries and art demonstrations, interactive photography, hands-on activities, performances, and dishes created with presentation in mind. For returning guests, it offers a compelling reason to revisit: the day can feel meaningfully different from a park visit focused only on rides.

Families with creative children, couples who enjoy sharing small bites, and musical-theater fans should all find a strong balance here. It can also work for a first visit when guests dedicate a full day to EPCOT and embrace a less hurried pace. Guests whose priority is riding attractions repeatedly should decide in advance how much time they want to set aside for murals, shows, and food booths.

The dates shape the itinerary

Running from January 15 through March 1, 2027, the festival covers part of the winter season and reaches into early March. A four- to seven-night stay can include one full EPCOT day while preserving other days for other parks. If Broadway or Lorcana is the main draw, two EPCOT visits may be more rewarding than trying to fit everything into one afternoon.

The full run does not mean every visit will feature the same artists or performers. DISNEY ON BROADWAY pairs change every two weeks, so choosing dates before the cast is released means accepting that uncertainty. Guests with fixed schedules should avoid building the entire trip around a particular performer until the official schedule is available.

Broadway is included, but not automatically secured

The DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series will take place at America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure pavilion. Musical stars will perform songs they helped bring to Broadway stages, alongside other familiar showstoppers. There will be several performances each evening, and a new pair of performers will take the stage every two weeks, creating a changing program throughout the festival.

Concert admission is included with EPCOT park entry, while general seating is first-come, first-served. That setup works well for guests able to arrive early and wait, but it is not a reservation. Dining packages at select EPCOT restaurants with guaranteed seating will go on sale later; no sale date, participating restaurants, prices, or associated performers have been announced yet.

Food, hands-on art, and Lorcana

More than 20 Food Studios will be spread throughout the park. That number supports a tasting-style meal instead of one long table-service lunch, but it can also raise a day’s spending quickly because menus and prices have not been released. A sensible budget should separate park admission from food, beverages, merchandise, and any other festival purchases.

Announced experiences include Animation Academy, Expression Section: A Paint by Number Mural, Artful Photo Ops, Chalk Art Galleries, and artists creating work live. Disney Lorcana will add Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, Collection Quest, and Illumineer’s Lounge. Its promotional items and gifts with purchase will be event-exclusive, but inventory, purchase requirements, quantities, and availability have not been detailed; collectors should not assume an item will be available on a specific date.

Hotel, time, and budget without assumptions

This update is not tied to an official hotel, vacation-package, or ticket offer. Lodging should therefore be selected for a guest’s own transportation needs and budget: a Walt Disney World hotel can simplify trips to EPCOT, while an off-site option may suit visitors with a car or those trying to control costs. Comparing the full cost, rather than the nightly rate alone, remains essential.

The most balanced approach is arriving at EPCOT early enough for an evening performance, sampling several Food Studios, and leaving room for activities without fixed times. Guests seeking general Broadway seating should prioritize the queue; those who value certainty can wait for dining-package details. Checking artists’ names, dates, and locations later will help avoid missing a demonstration that matters most to the group.

Festival of the Arts 2027 now has a confirmed window: January 15 through March 1. More than 20 Food Studios, hands-on art, multiple nightly concerts, and Lorcana content provide concrete reasons to dedicate at least one full day to EPCOT, especially for travelers seeking a more creative, unhurried park experience.

The major limitation is that several decisions cannot yet be finalized precisely. The Broadway cast, visiting artists, merchandise details, and guaranteed-seating dining packages will be released later. Until then, it is wise to reserve dates that still work if the final schedule changes and not to build a budget around benefits that do not yet have published prices or terms.

If you are comparing January and February 2027 or deciding how many days EPCOT deserves within your trip, let’s have a TodoOrlando conversation about your group’s travel style, preferred pace, hotel options, and budget so these confirmed dates become a realistic itinerary.
