4th of July 2026 at Magic Kingdom: The Most Patriotic Celebration of the Year 🎆🇺🇸

f there's one magical time to visit Walt Disney World, it's the 4th of July weekend. And 2026 is even more special: the United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary (the Semiquincentennial), and Disney is joining the party with its "Disney Celebrates America" campaign. The result is a Magic Kingdom dressed in red, white, and blue, packed with shows, music, and surprises you won't want to miss.

Here's everything you can experience at Magic Kingdom during Independence Day weekend, so you can plan your visit like a pro.

"Celebrate America!" Fireworks — For the First Time, Three Nights!

The star of the weekend is "Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky." For the very first time, this show will run three nights in a row: July 3, 4, and 5, at 9:00 PM.

It's 14 minutes of fireworks synchronized to patriotic classics like God Bless America, Yankee Doodle, and America the Beautiful. The best part: Magic Kingdom uses perimeter pyrotechnics around the park and over Seven Seas Lagoon to create an immersive 360-degree effect. You're literally surrounded by fireworks. Keep in mind that "Happily Ever After" will not be performed on these dates — this special show takes its place.

DJ Dance Parties Throughout the Park

The energy doesn't stop after the fireworks. Throughout the night, you'll find DJ dance parties at three spots around the park: Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and in front of Cinderella Castle. Music, dancing, and a celebratory vibe for the whole family.

Special Air Force Flyover (July 4 Only!)

One of the most thrilling moments: on July 4 at 10:30 AM, the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 920th Rescue Wing will perform a special flyover above Magic Kingdom and EPCOT (weather permitting). An incredible tribute to the nation's military heroes. Have your camera ready.

Patriotic Ceremonies & Moments

  • Flag Retreat Ceremony: daily at 5:00 PM in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. A veteran is honored, and patriotic songs are performed. Want to take part? Check in at City Hall.

  • Commemorative cavalcade honoring America at select times, July 3–5.

  • The Dapper Dans in special patriotic attire, plus military band performances across the resort through July 5.

  • Hall of Presidents and the Liberty Bell replica in Liberty Square — perfect stops for photos and history.

Themed Photos, Food & Merchandise

  • Special 4th of July PhotoPass Magic Shots, available July 3–6 at select locations.

  • Red, white, and blue treats like the Red, White and Blue Slushy at Liberty Square Market.

  • Colonial-inspired dining at Liberty Tree Tavern and limited-edition Americana merchandise.

Bonus: "Cool Kid Summer"

All summer long (through September 1), the resort celebrates "Cool Kid Summer" with dance parties, surprise character appearances, and activities for little ones including dancing with your Toy Story friends at the Diamond Horseshoe.

Key Tip: July 4 Falls on a SATURDAY

This year, the 4th of July lands on a Saturday, so expect big crowds — both tourists and Florida locals. Magic Kingdom may reach full capacity, which makes securing your park reservation essential. Our tip: if you want to see the same fireworks with smaller crowds, consider visiting on July 3 or July 5.
